# Pyplex > Pyplex is a website for making images, videos and audio with AI, and a marketplace where creators publish templates and earn money every time someone uses them. Docs: https://pyplex.com/docs · Terms: https://pyplex.com/terms · Contact: https://pyplex.com/contact ## Getting started Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/getting-started Pyplex is a website for making images, videos and audio with AI, and a marketplace where creators publish templates and earn money every time someone uses them. ### What you can do - Create with 936 AI models in one place — 341 image, 507 video and 88 audio models (music, voice, sound effects). - Use templates: ready-made looks built by creators. Add your photo, see the price, get the result. - Use video templates: full edited videos where each AI clip is remade with your own photo. - Edit videos in the browser with the Editor, with every Pyplex AI model built in. - Publish your own templates and earn 75% of your fee every time someone uses them. - Ask Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant to make things for you on Pyplex — you see the price in the chat and approve each one (see Use Pyplex from AI assistants). ### First steps 1. Sign up with email or Google. You get a username (at least 6 characters) that you can change in your profile. 2. Add money to your wallet from $10. You pay in your local currency; your wallet is in US dollars. 3. Pick something to make: a model on the Image, Video or Audio page, or a template on Explore. 4. Check the price on the button, then press Generate. You only pay if the result is delivered. 5. Find everything you made in your Library. Note: There is no subscription. You add money once and pay per result. ## How pricing works Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/pricing ### The price you see - Every result has one price, shown on the Generate button before you pay. - The price is the AI model's cost plus Pyplex's margin, rounded up. On a template, the creator's fee is added on top. - Model cards show a starting price ("from $0.04") using the model's cheapest settings. Higher resolution, longer video or more images cost more — the button updates as you change settings. - All prices are in US dollars. - Prices are the same when an AI assistant makes something for you through Pyplex — it shows you the exact price first and starts only after you agree. ### When money moves 1. When you press Generate, the price is held from your wallet. 2. If the result is delivered, the held amount is charged. 3. If the generation fails or can't be completed, the held amount goes back to your wallet automatically. - Each account can spend up to $100 per day. This protects your wallet. - A finished result is final — it isn't refunded because of style or quality, so check the model and settings first. - Editor exports cost $0.10 each. Putting together the final video of a video template is free. ## Create images Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/create-images The Image page lists 341 image models, newest first, with a category filter on the left (Text to Image, Image to Image, Upscaler and more) and a search box. 1. Open Image and pick a model. Each card shows the model's starting price on the right. 2. Write a prompt. For edit models, upload one or more images (each model has its own limit). 3. Set the options the model offers — aspect ratio, resolution, output format, number of images and so on. 4. Check the price on the button and press Generate. A progress bar shows while it works. 5. Download the result or find it later in Library. Note: Click an uploaded image to see it full size; use Remove or Change to swap it. ## Create videos Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/create-videos The Video page lists 507 video models: Text to Video, Image to Video, Video to Video, Video Extend, Talking avatars, effects and more. 1. Open Video and pick a model. 2. Write a prompt and add a start image or video if the model needs one. 3. Choose length, resolution and the other options the model offers. Longer and sharper videos cost more. 4. Press Generate. Videos take longer than images — usually a few minutes. You can leave the page; the result is saved to Library. - Every video result can be opened in the Editor (Open Editor on the Video page). - Some models price by the length of the video you upload; the button shows the exact price once your file is added. ## Create audio Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/create-audio The Audio page lists 88 audio models: songs and music, text to speech (voice-over), sound effects, and voice tools. - Results play in the page with a player and can be downloaded. - Voice-clone models copy a voice from a sample. Only use your own voice or a voice you have permission to use. - Audio results can be used in the Editor as music or voice tracks. ## Editor Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/editor Open the Editor from the Video page or at pyplex.com/editor. It works on desktop and phone. ### What it can do - Multi-track timeline: video, image, audio and text tracks. - Cut, split and trim (select a clip, move the playhead, press W to trim the end or Q to trim the start). - Text with styles (Heading, Hero, Subtitle, Lower third…) and animations (Scale In, Slide Up, Blur In and more). - Transitions between clips (select a clip, double-click a transition) and effects (select a clip, double-click an effect). - Audio with volume, fade in and fade out. - Import your own photos, videos and music. - Motion Design (the tab next to Video Editor): animated graphics — titles, ads, lower thirds, logo reveals — with layers, keyframes and ready-made templates. ### Pyplex AI inside the Editor - The Pyplex AI tab lists every model with search and Image / Video / Audio filters, your balance and starting prices. - Pick a model, fill the form and press Generate — the clip lands in Media, ready for the timeline. - My clips shows your AI results from the last 29 days. ### Edits made by an AI assistant If you ask Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant connected to Pyplex to put your clips together, it gives you an Open in Editor link. The Editor opens with everything already on the timeline — clips in order, text, music and transitions — and you can change anything before you export. Animated graphics it makes open in Motion Design the same way. The link opens only for your own Pyplex account and works for 30 days. See Use Pyplex from AI assistants. ### Saving and exporting - Projects save automatically in your browser. When you're logged in, they're also saved to your Pyplex account, so you can open them on any device from Library → Projects (or Recent projects in the Editor). The last 10 versions are kept. - Files you add to a project (videos, photos, music) go to your account too — up to 1 GB per file and 10 GB at a time. They are deleted 3 days after upload; your project and edits stay. After that, add the file again (Media → Missing) to keep editing on another device. - Export costs $0.10 per export, taken from your wallet — in the Video Editor and in Motion Design (videos and PNG snapshots). - Publish template (next to Export) turns your project into a video template — see Make a video template. ## Use a template Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/use-templates ### Photo templates 1. Open a template from Explore. The page shows the result, an example input and the price. 2. Upload what it asks for (usually one photo). Fill in any options the creator allows. 3. Pick a resolution if you want a sharper result (it costs more). Everything else is set by the creator. 4. Press Generate. The result appears on the page and in Library. ### Video templates 1. Open the template and press Use template. Each AI step is a numbered card with an example of what it needs. 2. Upload your photo once — other steps that need the same thing reuse it. You can choose a different photo for any step. 3. Press Generate on each step. Don't like it? Remake (charged again). Or use your own ready photo or video for a step (only the creator's fee is charged). 4. Press Use this on the result you want for each step. You can leave and come back — progress is saved. 5. Press Make my video. The finished video, with the creator's cuts, text, music and effects, is put together in your browser for free and saved to Library. Note: The creator's prompt and hidden files are never shown to you. AI assistants connected to Pyplex can find templates for you and explain what they need; you use the template on pyplex.com. ## Make a photo template Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/make-photo-template Open Create → Publish a template (pyplex.com/create/template). The form has 7 numbered parts. 1. About — a title (for example "Red shirt studio portrait"), a short description and a category (for example anime, wedding, products). 2. Model — choose Image or Video, then pick the model. Only models that take an image or video as input can be used. 3. Files — each input is a slot. Choose "Users give their own" (users upload; yours is only for your test and the example) or "I give (always used)". Choose "Show on the template page" or "Hide (only admins see)". For user slots, write the label users see and an optional tip. Use Add for more slots, up to the model's limit. 4. Prompt — what the AI should do. It stays private. Add fill-ins if users should change part of it: a text box with a default ("red") or a list of choices ("red, green, blue"). 5. Settings — every option the model has. What you set is locked for users, including aspect ratio; users can only pick a higher resolution and pay the difference. 6. Your fee — $0 to $2 per use. You get 75%. 7. Visibility — Public: anyone can find and use it after review. 8. Press Run test. It shows the full price first; your result becomes the template's preview. Change anything and run again until you like it. 9. Press Publish publicly. The admin test charge (one full use) is taken and the template goes to review. Follow it in Dashboard → My templates. Note: Tips: test with the kind of photo users will really give, keep the prompt specific, and start with a low fee. ## Make a video template Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/make-video-template Open the Editor and start a project in the shape you want: vertical 9:16, horizontal 16:9 or square. ### 1. Make the AI clips 1. Open the Pyplex AI tab. Search or filter (All / Image / Video / Audio) and click a model. 2. Upload the input photo, write the prompt and set the options. 3. Set "Your fee if this clip is a template step" ($0–$2). 4. Press Generate · $price. The clip is added to Media. 5. Make as many clips as you need — the same person in different scenes with different prompts, or a photo turned into a moving video. ### 2. Build the video 1. Double-click a clip in Media to add it to the timeline, then drag it into place. 2. Trim clips to any length — move the playhead, select the clip and press W. 3. Import your own photos, videos and music. They play in every user's video exactly where you put them. 4. Add text (Text tab → style; change the words in Text Properties → Text Content; pick an animation in Text Animation). 5. Add transitions and effects, set music fades, and press Play to check. ### 3. Publish 1. Press Publish template (top right, next to Export). 2. Write the title, category and description. Name each step and check its fee. 3. For each input choose User gives it (write what to upload, for example "Your photo") or My file (hidden). Inputs with the same label are uploaded once by users. 4. Press Publish. The Editor makes a preview video and a cover picture, takes the admin test charge (every step's AI price plus its fee) and sends it for review. Note: Keep the Editor tab open and in front while publishing — the preview is made in your browser. ## How creators earn Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/earn You choose a fee from $0 to $2.00 per use. Each time someone else uses your template, you get 75% and Pyplex keeps 25%. Using your own template never charges you a fee. | Your fee per use | You earn per use | You earn per 1,000 uses | | --- | --- | --- | | $0.10 | $0.075 | $75 | | $0.50 | $0.375 | $375 | | $2.00 | $1.50 | $1,500 | ### Video templates - Every AI step has its own fee. A 4-step template with $0.10 per step earns you $0.30 for one complete use. - Remakes count — each remake pays the step fee again. - If a user brings their own file for a step instead of making it with AI, they still pay your fee for that step. ### From idea to earnings 1. Make a template (photo or video). 2. Publish it and pass review. 3. Share your profile link (pyplex.com/u/your-username) and template links. 4. Watch Creator earnings on your Dashboard grow with every paid use. 5. Request a payout. Note: What sells: a clear preview, a plain title, a short description, and asking only for inputs people already have (one front-facing photo works best). ## Earnings and payouts Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/payouts - Earnings are kept separate from your wallet balance. You can't spend them directly. - The Creator earnings box on your Dashboard shows your total and a progress line to the next payout minimum. | Payout to | Minimum | How | | --- | --- | --- | | Your wallet | $10 | Request on the Dashboard; after review it is added to your wallet balance. | | Your bank | $100 | Request on the Dashboard; after review it is sent to your bank. | - Every request is reviewed before it is paid. - Earnings from fraud, fake accounts, self-dealing, refunds or chargebacks can be held or cancelled. ## Wallet and payments Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/wallet - Add from $10 to $1000: quick amounts $10, $20, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, or a custom amount. - You pay in your local currency at checkout; your wallet is credited in US dollars. The amount you add is the amount you get. - Balance history (from the Dashboard) shows every top-up, charge, refund and earning. - Wallet credit is prepaid, used only on Pyplex, and can't be withdrawn as cash. (Creator earnings are different — see Earnings and payouts.) - If an AI assistant tells you your balance is too low, its link opens this page with the amount already filled in (at least $10). Add money, then ask the assistant again. ### Refunds - Failed generations are refunded to your wallet automatically. - Top-ups can be refunded if you were charged twice, the credit never arrived, or the payment wasn't yours. Ask within 14 days through the contact form. - See the full Refund policy at pyplex.com/refund. ## Library and Dashboard Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/library-dashboard ### Library - Every result you made, newest first, including ones still being made. - Click a result to see its details and download it. - Recently used templates with a Reuse button. - Projects — your Editor projects saved to your account. Open them in the Editor on any device. Uploaded files are kept for 3 days after upload. - Saved templates (the bookmark on any template). - Results made through AI assistants are saved here too. ### Dashboard - Your profile: photo, username, bio, followers, following, likes and uses. - Wallet balance with Add funds, and Balance history. - Creator earnings and payout requests. - My templates with their status: Live, In review or Not approved. Edit or remove your live templates here. - Share profile — copies your public profile link. - Connected apps — AI assistants you've allowed to use your account (appears after you connect one). Disconnect stops an app at once. ## Explore and community Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/community - Explore shows templates For you, Newest, Trending and from people you Follow, with category filters. - The search bar at the top finds templates and AI models together. - Every account has a public profile at pyplex.com/u/username with its templates. - Follow creators, like and comment on templates, and share any template or profile link. ## Rules Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/rules - No sexual content involving minors, no non-consensual intimate images, no deepfakes meant to deceive or harass. - No content that promotes violence, terrorism, hate, self-harm or illegal activity. - Voice-clone models: only your own voice or a voice you have permission to use. - Only upload files you have the right to use. Music and media in templates must be licensed for that use. - Templates are reviewed before they go public and can be removed if they break the rules. Note: Full details: Terms (pyplex.com/terms), Privacy (pyplex.com/privacy) and Refund policy (pyplex.com/refund). ## Quick answers Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/faq | Question | Answer | | --- | --- | | Do I pay if a generation fails? | No. The held amount goes back to your wallet. | | Is there a subscription? | No. You add money to a wallet and pay per result. | | How much can a creator charge? | $0 to $2.00 per use (per AI step in video templates). | | What share does the creator get? | 75% of the fee. Pyplex keeps 25%. | | When can I withdraw? | From $10 to your wallet, or from $100 to your bank, after review. | | Can users see my prompt? | No. Prompts and hidden files are never shown. | | What does publishing cost? | An admin test charge equal to one full use of your template. | | Do I have to connect my AI app (Claude, ChatGPT) to Pyplex every time? | No. Sign in and press Allow once. It stays connected and renews by itself unless you disconnect it or don't use it for 30 days. | | Are my Editor projects saved? | Yes. When you're logged in, every project is saved to your account (Library → Projects) and opens on any device. Files you upload into a project are deleted 3 days after upload, so keep your own copy; the edits stay. | | Does exporting from the Editor cost money? | Yes, $0.10 per export — in the Video Editor and in Motion Design. A template's final video is free. | | Is there a daily limit? | Yes, $100 of spending per account per day. | | Can I use Pyplex from Claude or ChatGPT? | Yes. Add https://pyplex.com/api/mcp/account as a connector — the same address in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and other AI apps — and sign in once. See Use Pyplex from AI assistants. | | Can an AI app spend my money without asking? | No. For one thing, it shows you the exact price and starts only after your yes (or your press of Generate on the Pyplex card). For a bigger job — a whole video with several images, clips and music — it first shows one plan with every paid step, its price and the total; one yes covers exactly that list. Anything not on it, or a higher price, needs a new yes. Disconnect apps any time from Dashboard → Connected apps. | | Why does the assistant give me an upload link for my photo? | AI apps can't pass a file you attach in the chat to Pyplex. Add it on the upload page instead — it stays in your Pyplex account. | ## Use Pyplex from AI assistants (MCP) Page: https://pyplex.com/docs/ai-assistants Pyplex has an MCP server and a ready-made skill, so AI assistants can work with Pyplex for you. Ask in your own words — "put a red car behind me in this photo", then "now make a video of me opening the door" — and the assistant picks the model, writes the prompt, shows the exact price and starts only after you say yes. For a bigger job, like a whole video, it shows one plan with every paid step and the total — you say yes once, and it makes all of it. It can also edit your clips into one video, or make an animated graphic, and open it in the Pyplex Editor for you. | | | | --- | --- | | Address (the same for every app) | https://pyplex.com/api/mcp/account | | Sign-in | Once, when you add Pyplex — sign in to Pyplex and press Allow | | Transport | Streamable HTTP | ### Connect - Claude (web, desktop, mobile): Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector. Use the settings in the table below, press Add, then sign in to Pyplex and press Allow. That's the only time you sign in. - Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http pyplex https://pyplex.com/api/mcp/account then /mcp to sign in. - ChatGPT (where custom connectors are available on your plan): add a custom connector with https://pyplex.com/api/mcp/account → sign in → Allow. - Codex: run codex mcp add pyplex --url https://pyplex.com/api/mcp/account then codex mcp login pyplex (a browser opens — sign in and press Allow). - Cursor, VS Code and other MCP apps: add a server of type "http" with https://pyplex.com/api/mcp/account, and sign in to Pyplex once when the app asks. ### Claude: which settings to pick | Setting | Pick | Why | | --- | --- | --- | | MCP server URL | https://pyplex.com/api/mcp/account | Asks you to sign in once, while you add Pyplex. | | Authentication | Sign in now | Claude usually picks it by itself for this address. Don't pick "No sign-in" — your balance, generations and edits won't work. | | OAuth client | Register automatically | Pyplex registers Claude by itself. "Use Claude's published identity" and "Use your own OAuth client" aren't supported by Pyplex yet. | | Request headers | Leave empty | Pyplex uses sign-in, not an API key. | You connect once. Claude keeps you signed in and renews access by itself, so you won't be asked again — unless you press Disconnect (Dashboard → Connected apps), remove the connector, or don't use it for 30 days. ChatGPT and Claude Code work the same way. Codex normally renews by itself too, but some Codex versions forget to — if Codex says Pyplex needs sign-in, run codex mcp login pyplex again and press Allow. ### Install the Pyplex skill (optional, recommended) The skill teaches your assistant the Pyplex way of working: which model fits which job, how to write good prompts, how to chain a photo into a video, and the price-and-yes rule — and how to plan and edit a whole video like a professional editor (the hook, the story, shots and camera moves, pacing, transitions, text, music), with step-by-step playbooks for Reels, product ads, short stories, music videos, explainers, slideshows and "a video like this one". It comes with the connector in one plugin. Download it from pyplex.com/downloads/pyplex-plugin.zip, or get it on GitHub: github.com/Pyplex-com/pyplex-skill. - Claude (web, desktop): Customize → Plugins → Add → Upload plugin, pick pyplex-plugin.zip, then connect Pyplex on the plugin's Connectors tab. - Claude Code: run claude plugin marketplace add Pyplex-com/pyplex-skill then claude plugin install pyplex@pyplex and /mcp to sign in. (From the zip: unzip it and use claude plugin marketplace add ./pyplex-plugin instead.) - Codex: unzip it to a folder, run codex plugin marketplace add ./pyplex-plugin then codex plugin add pyplex@pyplex and codex mcp login pyplex. - Cursor and other agents with skills: unzip it and add the skills/pyplex folder to your agent's skills folder. ### What the assistant can do | Tool | What it does | Needs sign-in | | --- | --- | --- | | search_models / get_model | Find a model and read all its settings. | No | | get_price | The exact price for chosen settings. | No | | search_templates / get_template | Find templates and what they need. | No | | read_docs | Read these docs. | No | | get_balance | Your balance, money on hold and earnings. | Yes | | list_my_generations | Your latest results, to show or reuse. | Yes | | request_upload_link / check_upload | A link where you add your own photo, video or audio on pyplex.com. | Yes | | quote_generation | Checks the settings and gives the exact price. Nothing is charged. | Yes | | start_generation | Starts it and charges the quoted price — only after your yes, to that price or to a plan that lists it. | Yes | | get_generation | Progress and the finished file. Failed ones are refunded. | Yes | | create_video_edit | Puts your clips together into one video — order, cuts, text on screen, music, transitions — and gives you an Open in Editor link. Free; exporting in the Editor costs $0.10. | Yes | | create_motion_design | Makes an animated graphic — title card, ad, lower third, logo reveal, social hook — from a template or from layers, and gives you an Open in Motion Design link. Free; exporting costs $0.10. | Yes | | get_preview_link | Gives the assistant a view-only link to one of your edits or motion designs, so it can look at its own work without signing in. Only your own designs; the link lasts as long as the design (30 days). Free. | Yes | ### How a paid generation works 1. You ask for something. The assistant picks a model and writes the prompt. 2. It checks the price with quote_generation. You see the model and the exact price in a Pyplex card in the chat. Nothing is charged yet. 3. You say yes, or press Generate on the card. For a bigger job, one yes to the assistant's plan covers every step on it, as long as no step costs more than the plan said. The assistant must send the quoted price exactly, or Pyplex refuses to start. 4. The price is held from your balance, the same as on the website. The card shows progress and then your image, video or audio, with Download. 5. Everything is saved in your Library. If a generation fails you are not charged. ### Edit a video with the assistant 1. Make the clips first (photos, videos, music) — or use ones you already have in your Library or added with an upload link. 2. Tell the assistant what you want: the order, how long each part is, the words on screen, the music, the transitions, the shape (for example 9:16 for Reels). 3. It builds the edit with create_video_edit. This is free. A Pyplex card in the chat shows the clips and an Open in Editor button (or the assistant gives you the link). 4. The Pyplex Editor opens with everything on the timeline. Watch it, change anything you like, then Export — $0.10, made in your browser. 5. Want changes? Ask the assistant — it makes a new version with a new link. Edit links open only for the Pyplex account you connected, and work for 30 days. Files you added with an upload link are kept for 30 days. ### Make a motion graphic with the assistant Ask for an animated title, ad, lower third, logo reveal or social-media hook. The assistant either fills one of the Motion Design templates with your words and brand colour, or builds it from layers — text, shapes, lines and your photos or videos — with entrance, exit and looping animations. It can also move things along keyframes, draw a line on screen, count a number up (0 → 12,500), move the camera and add music. When you ask for a whole video, the assistant can put these animated graphics — a title, a counting stat, an end card — straight onto the same video timeline, so you get one project with everything in it. It makes the design with create_motion_design (free) and gives you an Open in Motion Design link. Watch it, change anything, and export it there ($0.10). ### Your own photos and videos A file you attach in the chat can't be passed to Pyplex. The assistant gives you an upload link instead: open it, add the file (you're signed in to your own account), and come back — the card notices by itself, or just say "done". The assistant can also use a public https link, or any earlier Pyplex result as the input for the next step (for example a photo into a video). ### If your balance is low The price check tells the assistant your balance isn't enough. It tells you and gives you a link to your Pyplex wallet with the amount already filled in (minimum top-up $10). After you add money, ask again. ### Safety - The assistant never sees your password, email or payment details. It can't top up, withdraw or change your account. - Nothing is charged without your yes — to one price, or to a plan that lists every paid step and the total. Daily spending limits from the website apply here too. - See and disconnect apps any time: Dashboard → Connected apps. It stops working at once. - Only allow apps you trust. The Allow page shows which site you'll be sent back to, and warns you about apps that run on your own computer. Note: Prompts of templates are never shared. A plain-text version of all docs is at pyplex.com/llms.txt.
